The intake manifold ended up cracking exhaust to leak into the cabin of the car. The problem also made the car louder than usual. The o2 sensor also went out due to the problem, which made the car undrivable. We had to have it towed to a shop. The shop took out the o2 sensor so the car could drive again, but they couldn't fix it, we had to take it somewhere else. So without the o2 sensor, the car was somewhat drivable but was using more gas than usual. When we looked into getting it fixed, the shop had trouble tracking down a new part. The cost for a new intake manifold was super expensive, so I tracked down a used one from a salvage yard. The one they sent me, unfortunately, also had cracks in it, but not as bad so the shop was able to get the cracks welded and replace the bad one.
