Back in June 2018. I bought my 2000 Acura RL from an auto shop. They sell parts and do auto body. They also get cars from people, fix them up and sell them. They are not a dealership. We been dealing with them for years. I was in need of another car since my Sonata was falling apart. The owner stated that his friend from college didn't need the car anymore, please sell it. It was in for an oil seal, but other than that it seemed immaculate condition. she had all the repair bills over the years. It was sworn to me the car was in mint condition. I hesitated at first cause I was getting rid of a car the same age. After a few weeks I was talked into it.
About 1 month 1/2 later the car started driving funny. It was moving in and out of lanes having to steer it back. Bought it to my repair guy it only needs steering fluid. Drove for a few weeks and it was getting worse. Very scary, could have got into an accident. I bought it to another repair shop. They said it was the Rack and Pinion $1500.00. I went back to my repair shop. They finally fixed it but wanted $1300.00. I complained that the car was only 2 months that I had it. It had to have been going before I got it, someone lied to me. They had sent me out in a dangerous car.
I wish I could get some restitution. I called Lemon Law and Consumer complaints but because I didn't get a control, I have no case. My only option is to sell it try to get my money back. $1300.00 for an 18 year old car is worth it
