June 2018 I bought a 2000 Acura RL from an Auto Body shop people we knew for years. After 1 month 1/2 the car started making a tapping noise in the right front .They stated the car was in excellent condition .He knew the lady that owned it he went to school with her . She was getting rid of it cause her son was off to college She had all repair bills from 18 years .When I brought the Car in for the Rack and Pinion, they had the Car for a week and a half. When I got it back the car made that tapping noise again .Had to bring it back.It was the Caliper. My question is for me to have the Car 2 months and the Rack and Pinion and the Caliper to go? Doesn't it take time for these to wear? I'm being held responsible to a 1300.00 bill, which I complained about and he took off 500.00, brought me down to $800.00. But now I have to bring it to an Acura Dealership cause all the warning lights are on. I cannot afford to pay $880.00 and more for an 18 year old car. I am very upset. I have a special needs son and my car keeps braking to get him to dr appointments. And my mom's in a Nursing home.
