This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Driver mirror, split screen. As vehicle approaches from the rear driver side, vehicle appears in split screen and as it approaches it appears to veer into your car. First reaction is to turn right, as it seems the approaching vehicle is going to hit my rear side. Gut reaction causes me me turn sharply to the right, indangering traffic in right lane( if I am in middle lane of three lane highway) or veer into ditch on right. This mirror should be replaced with normal view, it almost killed me.
