Still awaiting repair for recall. Have been notified that it is dangerous to drive, but with no remedy in sight. This is unacceptable! we now have 2 vehicles with the same airbag recall, and have been told basically that they are dangerous to drive with a passenger in the front seat.
"takata recall" - rec'd recall notice March 2016 from Acura indicating airbags would become available summer 2016. Called macchurchill Acura dealer July 20, 2016 to schedule appt and advised they would place an order for airbag but takes 3 to 6 months to receive. Obviously airbags were not available as their March letter indicated. As of this date, Oct 13, 2016, an airbag still not available and I am forced to drive with a possible deadly airbag. Their offer of rental does not qualify as an acceptable replacement. I am not satisfied with Acura's handling of my airbag and can't believe this would be acceptable time table for any such recall. I would appreciate any help or pressure you can provide on getting an airbag for my car. Thank you, [xxx] (Acura's safety recall: Campaign #JY2 / service bulletin # 16-010) information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
