First off i take great care of my vehicles so to my surprise at 86,000 miles a connecting rod bearing goes out and the best fix for it is to replce the engine. Really at 86,000 miles replace engine! Acura customer care says your over the 60,000 mile warranty so tough luck were not doing anything to help (its their job i guess not to pay for catastrophic failures). Owned many hondas before and a Acura with no problems, but having to replace engine at 86,000 miles because of 1 bearing to me is unheard of as well as all the other techs and the Acura customer care rep as well, all said that just doesn't happen. Well it did to me and Acura pretty much just kicked me to the curb and said to bad, really upset the way they stand behind their product, all i was asking was for them to cover half the new engine cost but nope. Thought better of Acura products lasting longer and then to not stand behind what seems like a bad bearing problem to me ,sad.
