I noticed the gas pedal vibration after about 1000 miles. Whenever I press the gas pedal, there is this annoying, tickling, fine vibration that starts to become noticeable between 1900-2000 rpm, then goes away past 2000 rpm, but then an even worse vibration resonating to the cabin when rpm goes between 3000-4000. The problem is I always feel the vibration since the rpm stays around that area when I am driving either on a regular street or the highway.
I took it to 2 dealerships close to where I live, wherein it was duplicated on both service centers. The first service center advisor said it was normal as it was also felt on one of their car in the lot as tested. At the second service center - which I had to visit twice, because the first time I checked in, a tech only said it was the VCM, even without checking my car - on my second visit, another tech drove my car, duplicated the vibration, said he doesn't know where it's coming from and he doesn't know how to fix it. He said as long performance of the car is not affected, it is what it is.
I brought the case to Acura client relations, and I spoke with 4 reps in total, but I was never given a case number, was only told to visit a dealership and ask for at least 2 similar new cars to test drive. I told this to the second service center that I visited but they can't provide me the car to test drive. Right now I'm stuck, I don't drive my car as much as I want to because I don't want to get that annoying feeling, just waiting for the dealership to contact me, when they have the car for a test drive on which only God knows when.
