The interior controls have gotten more and more complicated. Knobs, buttons and shifter need to come back in the design. The computerized controls are causing more and more distractions. It takes more than three steps on the Acura touch computer screen to change the air flow or change temperature. It is not easy to get used to the controls even for a new driver. My 2000 Subaru air controls are simple with a one knob control that takes my eye a second to find. My hand goes to it and moves the dial accordingly. The 2018 Acura MDX has the start button, the drive button, the shift button , the reverse button, the neutral button. All these buttons take your eye from the road far too much!!!! My old 2001 MDX and 2000 Subaru has a key and a shifter. These are easy to quickly see and feel for. The contact with a shifter is needed to in order to keep your eyes on the road. Get back to the basics please. I want to drive a car not a computer.
