My Acura MDX always had the problem, that when braking on highway, it shudders. We knew the problem and my wife complains about it all the time, but we never had time to bring it to the dealership because the closest dealer is 1 hour away.
When the car is about 50K, I thought it might be a good time to fix it. I called the Acura customer service and they told me to bring to the dealer.
I brought it to the dealer, and explained that I had the problem since the beginning. They took a look and found all the rotors are warped and said all is my fault. I explained that all driving is light driving and I have no such force to warp the rotors. And I had the pain driving this shuddering luxury car for several years. But they would not listen. Then the Acura customer service girl Christen told me they won't pay a penny.
They said it is wear & tear issue. My point is the defect in the material and workmanship of the rotor. I believe they used cheap rotors like in Honda. They would not replace the rotors.
I am very mad at Acura and their service. I won't buy Acura again or recommend anyone buying one. There is no benefit getting the Honda Luxury, you are not getting better than the Honda. The service is just like Honda. You bought it and it is your problem now.
