Takata recall. The contact owns a 2014 Acura MDX. The contact received a recall notice for NHTSA campaign number: 19V256000 (air bags). The notice stated to take the vehicle to Acura of peoria (309-692-7800, 7500 North allen rd, peoria, il 61614), which was not a reasonable accommodation for the contact. The manufacturer was contacted regarding part availability and dealer location. The dealer was not contacted. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. Consumer stated tailgate light gasket that may lead to tail light failure. We have two local Honda dealerships but our caseworker said neither could do the recall work. Repair was done at peoira, il (nearest Acura dealer). On 3/18/2019 I got in my car and the airbag like is on staating there is a problem.I call my extened warrenty and they said this is not covered. That sucks becuse what are you paying for.
The contact owns a 2014 Acura MDX. While driving approximately 30 mph on a snowy day, the vehicle slid across the intersection and crashed into a guardrail. The failure impacted the front driver side, but only the passenger side air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The front passenger sustained a minor injury that did not require medical attention. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but stated that the vehicle was in good shape. The failure mileage was 30,000.
