I have a 2007 Acura RDX, which had a recall due to the Takata airbag. Low and behold my 2011 MDX started making the same sound, that is a clicking sound from the steering. While there is no recall issued I would not be surprised to find out that the MDx uses a Takata brand inflator for the airbag. Of course the dealers won't tell you and respond as if they never of these problems.
