Coming to a stop light and trying to stop, the car start accelerating and reach over 6500rpm. I could not stop and passed the stop, moved the gear on neutral and the RPM moved higher the whole car was shaking and thought is going to explode I moved it in P and turned the key off. After one minute I did start and the car was running good. I am scared not to kill someone. The dealer said; they are not aware of any recall and to drive again. If happened again to come back to them.!!! I am afraid to drive the car any more, please help.
When the acc is activated, the digital speed indicator is 2-3 mph off (faster) than the needle speedometer. I went to several Acura dealers but they could not fix it. I was told that it is within acceptable margin of error.
Car experienced unintended acceleration in a shopping center parking lot. 4th time this has occurred (very intermittent). Car was stopped while in drive waiting for traffic in front of me when the engine starting revving...had to keep my foot down on the brake to avoid hitting the fellow in front of me. Forced the gear shift back into neutral then revving subsided. Took car to dealership who thought problem might be related to intermittent disruption between electronic control master and power control master modules..dealer said they "relearned" the connection between the two modules.
