I bought this vehicle used just a couple weeks ago. While adjusting the drivers seat, the airbag light illuminated. Upon researching this, I see there's a LOT of people having the same issue. There was a TSB issued on this, so it's obviously a known issue to Acura (Honda).

I brought the vehicle in to Sunnyside Acura in Nashua, NH. I informed them of the TSB. They responded with that's only good while the vehicle is under manufacturer warranty and there's been no extension of this warranty.

I had them diagnose the issue (after I already knew what it was), and replace the airbag sensor. The codes were for the "Drivers Seatbelt Circuit". Confirmed it was a "Faulty harness to the seatbelt system in the drivers seat".

So, if SO many people are having this, and it is a HUGE safety issue, why hasn't there been an actual recall on it? From my understanding, airbags are required for inspections in all 50 states, so how can they get away with putting out such a defective piece and no one seems to care? I know my cost on this was almost $500, but there are other airbag issues that could have been significantly higher than mine. One would think that Acura would stand behind their products and just do a recall in good faith.
