I would randomly receive a "CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM" light turn on out of nowhere, in various driving conditions. After several times (over the span of a few weeks) I took the car to a family mechanic and was told I needed a new alternator. I had the alternator replaced for a sum of $530. Two weeks later, I'm driving and come to a stop sign. Upon accelerating, the radio and navigation cut off, then cut back on. The gas pedal did not move the car faster than 5 mph. I safely pulled to the side of the road and turned the car off. I turned it back on, and it was functioning as normal. I'm not certain what could be the cause of this, nor do I know what to do as Acura will most definitely not help with an 11 year old car. Car has been parked since the incident.
Update from May 18, 2020: The electrical wiring (per my mechanic) was frayed. Had the wiring repaired, and the car has been fine since.
