The contact owns a 2005 Acura MDX. While driving approximately 10 mph, the contact depressed the brake pedal and the vehicle failed to slow down. She sideswiped a parked vehicle on the street. Also, the brakes jolted spontaneously. There were no warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel and no injuries. The police was called to the scene and a report was filed. Both vehicles were damaged. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and it was discovered that the tie rod was the cause of the failure. The contact is waiting for a response from the insurance adjusters regarding the damages for repair. She was concerned of the safety risk involved. The failure and current mileages were 25,000.
