Called Honda and they said to take vehicle to dealer due to a paint recall, but my specific problem is not cover in the recall. Planning to take vehicle to dealer and update any info later.
Honda has a 5 yrs unlimited mileage warranty for the paint and was extended two extra years in the following areas: trunk and roof as per bulletins: 13-060 and 13-004. Other body parst are not covered even though they are having the same effect: "cloudy and chalky appearance".
I had my car painted back in 2014 in the roof, fenders and hood. Those areas developed the "cloudy and chalky appearance". Honda painted those areas, as per the recall, but not even a year later the new hood paint and fenders are chipping away. I am able to see bare metal and some spots are already rusty. Is a shame that Honda is using cheap paint.
I will complaint to Honda about my new finding; passenger side windshield pillar is developing the "cloudy and chalky appearance" same appearance as the roof and trunk.
