The contact owns a 2019 Acura ILX. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the brake pedal went to the floorboard, but the vehicle failed to respond. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that brake pedal was pumped until the vehicle responded. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on two different occasions; however, the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the failure recurred while the dealer was test-driving the vehicle; however, the cause of the failure could not be determined. The contact stated that the dealer added brake fluid; however, the failure recurred 30 minutes later while driving. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 19,000.
