The contact leased a 2018 Acura Ilx. The contact stated that the fuel gauge failed to properly indicate when there was fuel in the vehicle. Due to the inaccurate reading, the vehicle would stall. The dealer (elite Acura, 2840 NJ-73, maple shade township, NJ 08052, 856-722-9600) indicated that this was a known failure for the manufacturer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure to determine a remedy. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 50.
The fuel gauge is not working, the car is reading as full the whole time. As my wife and I share the car, we always assume the other was re-filling it, until it died on her. Worst is that, they will not keep it for repair as they don't have the parts. They send you with this safety risk away telling you to re-fuel it every 200 miles.
