11/14/18 my car broke down before getting on the twin span bridge in Slidell, LA. The car made a rumbling noise and became difficult to steer. I pulled to the shoulder, turn the car off and got out to check the tires. There were no tire problems, so I got back in the car and started it and the display showed that my car was turning side ways, even though it was still strait in place.
I called Acura Roadside service at 7:30am and did not get a tow until 4 hours later. The tow truck driver went the scenic route to run up miles bringing me to Walker Acura and I arrived at the dealership at 12:15pm. Where I had to wait additional time for a loaner car, even though I called them while on the side of the road to inform them that I would need a car. No one acknowledged getting my phone call.
I waited a day before calling the service department to ask what was wrong with the car and they did not know. The next day I received a message and it stated that had to call the manufacturer because they could not figure out why the car ran and then would not move. The manufacture knew right away that the axle had disconnected from the drive shaft and they told me the parts were on back order. I was #11 on the list and it may be weeks or months before my car would be ready. We it is 12/19/18 and my car is still not fixed. I called the service department a few weeks ago and the had on part, but was waiting for 2 more. I had not heard from them yet.
No one purchases a 2018 and 7 months later have a defected car. I called to make a complaint and no on has contacted me yet. I called to speak with Walker Acura's Owner or Manager and no one has called me yet. This is an injustice that I am stuck with a defected car.
I would like Walker Acura to make this right by replacing my car with a new one.
