I didn't know that the warranty extension covered the whole car, as the letter I received was for the roof.

Jan. 2015 had my car in at the shop at Acura. Asked the person helping me, what I could do about the problem. He told me to come back in the spring, bring it to the auto shop beside them, they'll take pictures, send it in and Acura will say yes or no to repaint it. They said no, 'cause it was almost a year after the extension. They wouldn't do anything for me, not even meet half way. If I had taken my car to get the paint redone on the roof 'cause thats where it started, I still would of been out of luck with them fixing the rest, as the rest started after the extension expirey. As time goes by, it gets worse and worse. This should be covered with no limit, it is a manufacture defect with the paint, and should be adressed properly to clients. This is something I shouldn't have to pay for to get fixed, as it's not rust or been in an accident. I know I'm not the only one pissed with Acura about this.

I have noticed over the past few months the paint on the top of the vehicle start flaking, cracking and turning a chalky colour. It keep getting worse and worse. I had the back bumper painted under warranty about 3 years ago as it was cracking.

I searched the internet to see if anyone else had a problem and find out it is common to all Honda's and Acura's around this year. I never received an extended paint warranty coverage notice from Honda. This is the last Honda or acura I will buy if they don't cover most of the cost to repaint as it is obvious they have a faulty paint job. I have seen vehicles 30 years old with a better paint job. Paint is normally to last the life of the vehicle.

I noticed another 2007 CSX next to my daughters house. I went and looked at it and the same thing is happening to it. Paint flaking, chalking, etc. With such a large common problem you would think Honda/acura would come clean and do something about it.

Overall they will lose sales in the end.
