This has been an ongoing problem with my car. My backup camera works for the most part, but it often starts flickering and doesn't work at all. I mentioned this when I brought my car into Mazda for servicing about a year ago and was told they hadn't heard about this problem. This morning, I received an email from carcomplaints.com that recall letters for this problem will be mailed September 23rd for 2014-2018 Mazda3 and 2016-2021 Mazda CX-3.
What I learned from this experience is that speaking to a customer service rep who may or may not have heard of the problem and pretty much dismisses it as non issue is not the best way to handle a car problem. I am also grateful to carcomplaints.com for notifying me about the recall. Thank you!
