Pacifica Touring L 3.6L V6 Pentastar

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

Check engine light appeared over the weekend on a long trip and I could smell moderate amount of oil burning. I took it into the garage and it was diagnosed with a cracked Oil Filter Assembly (OFA) part number 68308741AB and NOBODY (dealership, parts stores, ebay, amazon, etc.) can give me an ETA on when this part will be available.

Doing the research online and this looks like a constant problem with it cracking during oil changes for the past 10 YEARS!!! And beyond that, it's a ridiculous design where the manifold and a lot of labor to fix it (3+ hours). This is totally unacceptable, Chrysler, and will lead me to never buy a Chrysler or Dodge product ever again. Fix this problem now....

Pacifica Limited V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 7,000 miles

This Check Engine light has came on 2 times in the recent month. The first time was at about 5000 miles then again at about 6000 miles and now again at 7800 miles. The dealership in Conway, Arkansas (Superior Chrysler ) just keeps resetting the light. It's clear that they don't have a clue what is causing the light to come on. We will be taking the car to another dealership in Little Rock this third time and hope for the best.

Other than that we really like the Pacifica.
