My saga continues. I started noticing a stinky moldy smell in the car but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Recently on a trip to my mother's house, my granddaughter dropped her DVD. When we found it, it was soaking wet. At first, I thought someone had spilled some liquid in the car but when I touched the floor board it was soaking wet as if someone had poured buckets of water in the foot well. It was only in the right passenger footwell and so we couldn't figure out what the hell was going on. I attempted to soak the water up with a towel but days later the carpet was still wet. When it got cold, it was frozen. Everyone I talked to couldn't understand what it could be coming from and was mystified. I finally realized after a really bad rain in which the footwell filled up again and was soaking wet that there was some connection. Recently, I was looking at the complaints on Consumer.com and came across someone who described the same problem and she was told by the VW dealer that it was due to the sunroof and the drain line was clogged. She said it eventually messed up her transmission module. Great! Just as I was saving my pennies and steadying myself (along with dreading) to go into the Big Apple VW dealership, I started hearing a ticking noise on my cars turns. OMG!!
