$2000 is how much we spent on having the headlights rewired and on bulbs, etc. Thats not including having the car in the dealer/shop at least a dozen times and missed work time, time with just 1 car, etc. in total over the course of years. All we could do is trade it in. The worse thing that happened to us, was that the lights went out while we were driving on I95 and we hit a coiled up 18 wheeler tire retread (which are illegal in most reasonable countries but not this trailer trash country we live in.) Hitting this huge retread really screwed up the car and caused an additional $3600 in front end/cooling system damage that fortunately our insurance covered - minus the deductible.
We called Toyota... they could care less about the problem. Sad that car companies are allowed to sell such sh&t and not be accountable for damages or headaches. The oligarchs have all the power, and the citizens have none except for leaving warnings like the to be careful buying cars, because you never know what you're going to get.
