I just found this site so I'm going to briefly enter all the things that have gone wrong with this vehicle during the first year of ownership. As the first year ended I could have enacted the lemon law but it was right at the cut-off date and I had other personal issues going on and did not wish to begin a court battle with Chrysler.
With only 1400 miles on this truck I got in one afternoon after work and started the vehicle. Immediately the check engine light illuminated and there was a lot of vibration from the motor. I drove to the dealership and it took them several days to diagnose the issue.
I did approach the dealership and request a new vehicle to replace this one given the severity of a broken rocker arm and how nervous that made me for any future problems. They slyly implied they would be able to do that if I would just contact Chrysler first. I NEVER SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THEM!
Once I contacted Chrysler the ball was in their court and getting a replacement vehicle was out of the question. The dealership tricked me, I should have just insisted they replace the vehicle and call Chrysler themselves. Ultimately the issue was fixed and Chrysler paid for one month of my monthly payments as compensation for my troubles. This major issue ruined any joy of ownership I might have had in the truck and now I just drive it hoping it won't break down again until I can replace it with a non-Chrysler product in the future.
