CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012-2017 Nissan Versa has an expensive CVT transmission failure defect that shows up plainly in our complaint data.
In late 2019, the CVT defect was subject to a class action settlement. However the settlement only covers transmission repairs up to 7 years after purchase or 84,000 miles (whichever occurs first).
Because many owners commonly drive 20,000 miles/year or more, Versa owners experiencing CVT transmission problems may find they are not covered by this settlement due to the mileage limitation.

my car airbags blew out when we slammed the door close to reshut the door because it wasnt closed all the way, the passenger side air bags deployed blew out the side of the seat and from the front ot back window air bags came out, also locked only the passenger side seat belt, brought it to the dealer they took my car said they would look at it called me later at work and told me they were keeping my car til further notice, i asked when that would be, they said they didnt know, so i asked if they were giving me a loaner car they said that would have to be approved from nissan north america and that would take at least 3 days to know, i spoke to nissan north america they said that it is not their policy. so i asked how i was suppose to get home from work. in the end they (almost a month later nov 21st) they said the airbag system worked properly and they were not fixing it and i had to pay $335.00 for a rental!!!!!! glad nissan stands behind their products!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NOT!!!! COMPLETE FG AHOLES!!! i will now be filling out a form at the DMV.
