My dealership has had my jeep for over 10 weeks and it's still not fixed. They've replaced everything under the front and are now waiting on tie rod ends to see if this fixes it.

Wrangler Sport 3.6L V6

  • Manual transmission
  • 17,000 miles

Hit any bump over 60mph, whole vehicle violently shakes, and lose complete steering control until vehicle speed is reduced to 45mph. Someone is going to die on the road unless FCA fixes this issue.

I'm going to replace the steering damper since that's what Garavel Jeep said they would do, but why pay the dealer when I shouldn't have any issues whatsoever?

From what I have read here, that won't fix the issue. And, no sense putting new tires on this vehicle with just over 20,000 if my front right tire is going to eat itself alive.

Vehicle is complete stock. Also, there is way more wear on the front right tire vs the other three.

Wrangler Sport Unlimited 3.6L

  • Manual transmission
  • 25,000 miles

When the vehicle hit an expansion crack or bump at higher speeds (70) it would go into a severe shudder which would only stop by slowing below 60. Very dangerous in winter driving or in tight traffic. Checked with the dealership and they said it was probably the steering stabilizer but they were on back order and could not be available for 4 to 6 months. The vehicle wasn't safe to drive so rather than park it for 6 months, I bought one from rockauto for $35 and a $5 bolt and installed it. Fixed the problem, but when the factory part finally arrived, about 5 months, I went to pick it up as a spare, and they wanted to charge me $100 for it unless they installed it on the vehicle. I left without my part.

This is a very dangerous problem and should be recalled before someone is seriously hurt. It is commonly known and still exists on new vehicles.
