The air bag light started to go on after the install of the recalled airbag in early Sept. 2016. We were told it had nothing to do with the recall and that we would have to pay $200 to diagnose it. Paid the $200 to find out that the it needs a new air bag "pulled code 33-21. Opened left side curtain air bag first inflators. Cleared code. Doc set again. Installed simulator. Doc did not set again. Vehicle needs new side curtain air bag."
We were given a quote of $1,157 to fix this safety issue in a car that has only been owned by me and has never been in an accident. This is a serious safety Hazard that Honda should repair at no cost. I was told that this car would no longer pass MA state inspection.
This is a serious situation as this car is our smiley car and my 8 and 10 year old drive in it daily.
An airbag is NOT a wear and tear item and HONDA should pay for this repair as it is a safety issue.
