This is costing us $75 per month in oil costs, not counting having to replace the oil filter every 3 months.
We had the "oil consumption test" at the recommendation of the dealership service department... with 1000 miles between each check... only to be told yes, it needs the motor replaced, but now has too many miles and is too old to be covered under any warranty.
WHAT THE HELL!!
If we had known anything about this issue before we would never have even bought the damn car. The replacement engine and labor was more than we even paid for the damn vehicle!!!
We feel we need a replacement vehicle for our trouble, but I doubt that will ever happen. It will be the last damn Hyundai we EVER own.
At the very least we should be provided a loaner vehicle for minimal rental costs and Hyundai should replace the engine and service the whole vehicle at no cost to us.
