Had a 2004 Toyota Sequoia SR5. Great vehicle. Went to dealership , said I want one just like the old one. Purchased new 2013 SR5. Driving home ..... feels bigger. Get home, wont fit in garage. Fold in both mirrors, fits fine. Fold in one mirror... just fits by 1" to spare. Call dealership. No solution offered at first. Speak to owner. I then discover - 2013 pathfinder uses chassis of old sequoia. New Sequoia has wider body, resulting in federal requirement for larger mirrors. - Wiring harness for SR5, im told, does not have hookups for the motorised mirror. - They can add mirror in a custom configuration for JUST $2300 !! - I cant be manually folding mirrors for the next 10 years..... back to the wall.... no way out..
I understand I should have researched, but they also have responsibility. - Tell me it does not fit in an 8' garage or provide the update as a standard option without requiring me to spend $10000 more on the next model.
