RX-8 Limited 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 51,000 miles

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

Told part is $125, labor $175, diagnostic is $125, can't explain why they didn't see issue when the car was in 3 times for engine flooding or when they did the recall for the fuel system seals when it flooded.

RX-8 1.4L

  • Manual transmission
  • 95,000 miles

check engine light on - engine missed as if it had bad fuel, then would 'recover' and run OK, then another episode of missing, etc. - went from bad to worse and finally wouldn't start - had to have it towed in to Firestone - they diagnosed it that one of the gaskets around the rotor went out - would cost $5,000 for another engine AND $2,500 to swap engines!!! I really liked the car and was fun to drive - too bad Mazda made such a P.O.S. and sold it to an unsuspecting public! Shame on you Mazda!!! :(
