Mazda make a fantastic SUV in the CX 5. The problem is a front wheel drive SUV that wears out the rear brakes and tyres before the front ones.
Mazda South Africa have now replaced the calipers in accordance with TSB 004-05/15. With this they are treating the symptom and not the cause. The actual problem is the Electronic Park Brake which binds. This will require the sensor to be reviewed and replaced however they wish to ignore the problem. My feeling is that Mazda Motor Corporation is like a person who hates critique even if it is constructive. They refuse to address the matter. I am not surprised that they suffering in the market. They have definitely lost me as a future customer with this kind of attitude.
Such a pity as this could have been a good product.
