I get a really loud metal noise coming from the engine but this only occurs on a cold cold start. For example if the engine has been sitting for over 3 hours out in 50 degree weather I will notice a loud loud metal rattling noise. Almost sounds like something is loose. My car is a 1.8L 5 speed manual transmission. Weird part is, once I start the cold engine and the noise occurs, if I shut the engine off immediately after, and start the engine up immediately the noise is no longer present.
