Company owned vehicle purchased with 5,000 miles off the lot in June 2016. Noticed on way down interstate after purchase, truck shakes above 70 MPH. Returned to dealership several times, issue never fixed. New tires, wheels, driveshaft, and an alignment later (20 days in the shop on 4 occasions) Chrysler offered down-payment assistance to get me in a new truck, off course they could not address $15,000 of my equity on the trade! Chrysler led me down the "buy-back" path for the last month, I am now at 12,000 miles and the truck shakes worse than before. Chrysler customer care has suggested I go through arbitration with their dispute department. I will most likely find an attorney, as their District Manager admitted to buying other trucks back, and that they are aware of the issue!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meanwhile, I have a $70.000 truck that drives like it has square tires on it and it is shaking itself apart. Way to treat a loyal Dodge/Cummins owner, this is my fourth dually.............
Update from Feb 8, 2019: After 3 sets of the Nexgen tires on the front, rear brake rotors and bearings, front and rear drive shaft replacement, wheel replacement and various other efforts, FCA and the selling dealer were unable to solve the vibration issue. Sued for relief in Superior Court in Arizona and accepted a cash settlement from FCA and the selling dealer. I immediately replaced the factory tires with Firestones and 90% of the vibration is gone. Remaining vibration I attribute to the suspension; truck is rated at 30,000 towing. I suggested this remedy early in the process and was refused even after offering to pay for new tires if it did not solve the problem!
