Took truck in at 10000 miles for service with a complaint of a squeaking clutch pedal. Mechanic found a leaking slave cylinder and replaced it. No more problems for about 3 weeks. Hard shifting and squeak returned. Was told the next time that the hard shifting part was due to a floor mat not allowing the clutch to fully engage. Same mat has been in truck since day one. Returned the truck again with squeaking noise even worse on 1/29/07. Was told that Mazda technicians advised that there was no other way to fix the problem and that the clutch will be fine. This is a royal pain in the butt to buy a new vehicle and can't get it fixed. I contacted a local Ford dealer (Ford builds the Mazda trucks) and was told that they had not had any complaints of this nature locally, but that it is probably a bad clutch assembly causing the problem. I have made contact with the Mazda service for this district and have a meeting in Feb.
