I had just exited the Interstate and had slowed down to turn, and at about 10 miles per hour my Jeep Commander came to a complete stop and then would not move forward. It felt as if my tranny had fallen out. After getting the vehicle to a dealer, it was found that the front axle had snapped and the transfer case was cracked open. The 4 wheel drive tried to initiate on its own without anyone touching it. The 4x4 did not fully engage but would not disengage either. Vehicle was towed to a dealer where I was hit with a 3758.00 dollar fix.
