Drivers side door locks: The door lock on the drivers side will not lock or unlock the drivers door unless the key is used on the drivers side. Trying to unlock/lock the doors with the remote will work for all the doors except the drivers. Trying to unlock/lock the doors with the key will work for all the doors except the drivers unless you are using the key on the drivers side.

The door locks failed to lock unless a key was used which would only work on the front doors. The key would no longer unlock the doors unless it was manually. The rear back door would not lock under any circumstances. This jeopardized the safety of my car, and myself. I went to apple tree Honda where I purchased the car. They did not let me know that this had been a recurrent problem on other cars. They charged me $587.50 to replace all the locks.

The lock actuator in both my driver's side door and the rear driver's side door went out. I spent well over $500 in repairs. It affected all my doors. They could not be locked/unlocked with the keyless entry nor with the power locks button inside my car. My doors had to be manually locked and unlocked. This seems to be a very common problem in the CR-V. the Honda dealership admitted to me that this happens frequently, but corporate has yet to issue a recall.

The contact owns a 2005 Honda CR-V. while parked, the contact attempted to unlock the vehicle doors and only the rear passenger side door would unlock. The failure recurred intermittently and the contact would have to enter the vehicle through the driver, passenger or the rear trunk door. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing where the technician advised that the remote key needed to be reset. The key was reset. In addition, the vehicle was taken to the dealer one year later for diagnostic testing where the technician advised that the front and back actuator needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact that the vehicle was not included in any recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000 and the current mileage was 95,000.

The clip holding my floor mat in place broke causing my mat to ride up over the gas pedal. This caused the brake pedal to accelerate. The vehicle was involved in a car accident due to this clip breaking.

The electronic door opener locked the car even when keyes in ignition. I was locked out of the car twice with the keyes in the ignition, and on several occasions I was unable to open driver side door, and had to exit vehicle from passenger door. Dealer replaced locking mechanism.

Vehicle is a 2005 Honda CRV. The upper rear hinge on the trunk (outside the vehicle) rusted completely off and the door fell off the upper hinge, and damaged the lower hinge as well from the weight. It fell onto my upper leg severely bruising it, and I had to muscle the door back on until it could be repaired. According to american Honda and my case N012010-03-3101277 (gene) rust is only covered for 3 years. I am astounded that they feel this kind of thing is ok to have happen and that they are unwilling to help resolve this claim. The vehicle is designed so that this hinge is always going to be exposed to the elements - they should know that it is at risk for rust based on exposure. I'm lucky it didn't fall off an injure anyone or fall off while I was driving/

I am the owner of a 1996 Honda Accord and 20005 Honda CRV. The problem that I have experience with both vehicles which was purchased new is that the power locks clicks up and down from time to time, even after locking the doors. I believe this is a common problem with Honda vehicles, but may be I am the first to mention it. However, with the doors locks, it puts your safety and security at risk and there should be an investigation of this matter. I have been experiencing this problem with each vehicle after about three years of ownership or after the warranty expires.
