Bought NEW Ford Mondeo on 18th March 2011. Car broke down, (i.e. the whole car was vibrating strongly) on 18th April 2011 after only 691 kms. Ford Assistance had car taken to nearest Ford garage - we are now into the 10th week and we still do not have our New Ford Mondeo back. We would like total reimbursement plus compensation. Have gone down all legal routes available in France - are now at the lawyer stage, but it seems that here (in France) it is extremely difficult to cancel the sales contract.
We received a satisfaction questionnaire from Ford several days after our New Mondeo had broken down. We returned this questionnaire with a covering letter and sent a copy to Dearborn. Ford Dearborn returned the letter to "sender" apparently unopened. The hired car which Ford Mondeo organized for us was on a "three day at a time" contract and had a 12 cm crack in the windscreen when we received it. After discussions with the Ford garage (where our New Mondeo has been sitting in the forecourt for 9 weeks), they agreed to give us the use of a Ford Fiesta.
I have a complete chronology of events (in detail) which I can supply to anyone interested .
