- 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid Unexpectedly Stalls - While driving, the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid suddenly stalls. A wrench illuminates on the dashboard. After several minutes, the car was able to start. This is a VERY dangerous problem. My stall occurred on the interstate in Atlanta. Thankfully, a police officer was directly behind me when my car stalled. We had to push my vehicle onto the shoulder of the road. VERY VERY DANGEROUS. This is not acceptable by Ford to not recall these vehicles. Many people have reported this problem!

We had lots of wiring and the full engine harness replaced which the dealer said had been chewed by an animal. I have since talked to a woman who had the same car and year as we have, who said she had exactly the same problem we had, and with the same kind of high bill. I looked online and it is clear that the first two years of this model have these issues. Some the Ford company covered and most not.
I feel from my research and experience that this was definitely not animal damage but the same problem described by others. I trust my repair guy but I think he was lead astray by Ford. The problem has continued and we are on our 4th repair when the car stops and has to be towed in to the dealer. As regards animals such as mice, we do not have them as we keep poison out at all times for rats and mice.
