I had my explorer inspected in January. February my wheel bearings needed to be replaced... By April, I needed to have them replaced yet again. And they were replaced again in June. It is now August and .... yep you guessed it... they are yelling at me again. The mechanic is very thorough and the second time and third time.. the retaining ring was out of the grove and just spinning around the spindle. The bearings were so chewed up they needed to clean everything thoroughly before re-assembly. Now... we are at it again. I've invested nearly 1500 in the repair of a simple... yet pain in my ass noise. I did figure out one thing tho... the ABS breaks. I've had the ABS breaks kick in on 4 separate occasions... the last time around... not even a week later... the bearings starting making noise. I think the ABS breaks are messed up or something.
