I was told to replace the entire transmission because the front pump seal is the problem, it's leaking pretty bad. I was told fixing the seal wouldn't entirely fix the problem, so I'm probably going to either sell it for parts (mechanics special) or have it scrapped.
I bought this vehicle from a friend who was selling it for their mother in law, who had apparently had the entire transmission replaced a little while ago (maybe within 5 years? She's old and can't remember and has no paperwork at all for anything about this vehicle and it's repairs), now either she is remembering that wrong, or the guy that replaced it put in a really sh*tty one or didn't replace it and totally screwed over an old lady... So now I'm back to vehicle searching so my girlfriend and I can get back and fourth to work without relying on other people (which we dislike doing), or walking (which will suck once it starts snowing).
