Drove the car, parked it in the driveway, went in for the night. The next morning I turned the car on, turned the wheel to back out, heard a loud "pop" and the power steering quit in an instant. I'm very VERY lucky this happened in the driveway and not while out! Of course it couldn't be fixed by my local mechanic because of the hybrid functions, so it had to be fixed at the Ford dealer for just under $1000.
